Installation:
Roll up motors to light dep controller
1) Install the telescopic tubes to the wall and motor. Check that the tubes can extend to the ridge and fully contract. Lubricate (white grease) the tubes.
2) Attach the roll up tube to the output coupler, but do not bolt them together until the limit switches are adjusted (see the hint below).
3) Wire (cabtire wire) the motors to the box (the motor outputs are in pairs on the box). Make temporary connections until you are sure the motor is winding in the correct direction. Position the box to avoid excessive lengths of power cable (from the box to the motors) to minimize voltage drop to the motors.
4) SETTING THE LIMIT SWITCHES
With the roll up wall at grade set the limit switches (each increment is a rotation of the motor), remove the cap, push the dial in and turn.
Setting the bottom dial at 1 and the upper dial at 24 will move the wall up (and down) 23 revolutions. The dial closest to the ground determines the lower stop.
Hints:
With the roll up tube at grade, disconnect the roll up tube, let the motor travel to the limits of the bottom stop, then reconnect the roll up tube.
If the motor travel is opposite to what is desired then switch the wire connections to the motor.
Rapid changes in the direction of the motors (like when setting limits) can cause the fuses to blow. 3.5 amp fuse max.
5) Heat wrap all electrical connections.
Motor Warranty:
We will provide a (reconditioned or new) replacement motor for any motors that fail within 18 months of purchase if:
- they are installed with a Steele GC Inc.controller (3.5 amp max. fuses)
- the motors do not sit in standing water;
- the limit switch caps are closed,
- the wall is covered with single poly only,
- the motor is installed in the manner specified above,
- the equipment is not modified.

Installation:
Roll up motors to incremental controller (thermostat model)
1) Install the telescopic tubes. The arm is installed on the gable wall baseboard, typically 1.5 meters from the roll up tube. Check the tube extension to ensure that there is sufficient length to reach the top of the roll up wall. Lubricate (white grease) the tubes.
2) Connect the telescopic tube to the motor.
3) Attach the roll up tube to the output coupler, but do not bolt them together until the limit switches are adjusted (see the hint below).
4) Wire the motors to the box (the motor outputs are in pairs on the box). Make temporary connections until you are sure the motor is winding in the correct direction. Position the box to avoid excessive lengths of power cable (from the box to the motors) to minimize voltage drop to the motors.
5) SETTING THE LIMIT SWITCHES
With the roll up wall at grade set the limit switch (each increment is a rotation of the motor), remove the cap, push the dial in and turn.
Setting the green dial at 1 and the red at 24 will move the wall up (and down) 23 revolutions.
6) Connect the thermostat to the box. The thermostat should be wired to make contact on a temperature rise (cooling). Typically with the wall down have the thermostat set to its maximum range. Locate the thermostat away from the wall and away from any fans to avoid rapid temperature fluctuations.
7) The boxes are pre-set at 15 minute of off-time, and 15 seconds of on-time; these settings can be adjusted.(instructions below)
8) Heat wrap all electrical connections.

ADJUSTING THE INCREMENTAL OPENINGS
There are 2 sets of white and blue dials, on a relay, inside the control box.
The top set controls the on time (t on) for the motors, the bottom set controls the off time (t off).
Each white dial has the following increments:
.1 - 1 second
1 - 10 seconds
6 - 60 seconds
1 - 10 minutes
6 - 60 minutes
1 - 10 hours
10 - 100 hours
This is the coarse adjustment.
The blue dial runs from 1 to 10 and is the fine adjustment, it selects the percentage of the coarse adjustment time period, that the motors will run.
For a run time of 15 seconds (this is the factory setting), set the white dial at 6 - 60 seconds, and the blue dial at 2.5 (25% X 60 seconds = 15 seconds).
For a run time of 30 seconds, set the white dial at 6 - 60 seconds and the blue dial at 5.0 (50% X 60 seconds = 30 seconds).
Roughly speaking it takes 15 seconds to roll up 6” of wall. Fifteen minutes later (off - time), the motor will energize again; if the temperature remains above the thermostat set point, the wall goes up; if the temperature has dropped the wall goes down. We suggest that these settings will provide a relatively stable temperature regime. Various greenhouses and conditions may require either more or less aggressive venting strategies.
Ajuste De Los Finales De Carrera:
Steele GC Inc™
